I work just like generations of rural professional weavers have before me, maintaining a modest inventory of ready-made items and weaving on-demand commissions. The products listed here are a small sampling of my work, don't hesitate to get in touch to discuss custom projects or yard goods.
These bedding, table, and kitchen linens are deeply rooted right here in Vermont. Inspired by textiles woven within 100 miles of the Burroughs Farm, they're imbued with the distinct character of northern New England. In contrast to a culture of throw-away consumerism, these items are functional investments made of the highest quality materials that will hold up to years of use. With proper care you'll have new heirlooms to pass down to future generations.
The figured coverlets I produce are like those woven in neighboring rural New York in the 19th century, and I'm proud to be the only maker of handwoven figured coverlets at work today. There were no weavers of figured coverlets in Vermont in the 19th century, this branch of my work is firmly grounded in the spirit of ingenuity that has kept craft alive for centuries.
